YOUNG EMPOWERMENT SOCIETY

Young Empowerment Society (YES) is a student led & driven educational and empowerment platform for youth 12-18 years old to use their voices to create change. YES’ program will build an alliance of community and youth leaders uniting to create cultural agents of change, while connecting school to the real-world through leadership, learning partners (mentors), and entrepreneurship. YES Change Agents will globally empower youth to lead, impact, and change their lives, families, schools, and communities.

YES Program Offerings Include:

  • Youth Leadership (Personal, Career, and Professional Development, and Education Empowerment)

  • Youth Learning Partners (Community Engagement)

  • Youth Entrepreneurship (Economic Empowerment)

YOUTH LEADERSHIP:

A platform for student leaders (change agents) to have their voices heard and respected by community leaders as they address their concerns to provide solutions to real life problems such as bullying; low self-esteem; poverty; career development; education empowerment; family and home life; the need for early financial literacy; college readiness; social skills; and self-discipline. Change agents reach their accomplishments and receive success once they

  • Receive rigorous leadership training that leads them to find their WHY (purpose) in life

  • Use your VOICE

  • Identify problems and provide SOLUTIONS, and more

YOUTH LEARNING PARTNERS (MENTORs):

YES offers students one-on-one and group mentoring from the professional business community, industry leaders, and nonprofit organizations to assist with education empowerment. The mentor program is used as a tool to:

  • Promote learning beyond the classroom

  • Build relationships with industry leaders

  • Provide networking opportunities within the professional community, and more

YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP:

YES empowers students to use their gifts, talents, skill sets, and education to create innovative business ideas and launch their entrepreneurial ventures. As students embark upon their journey of becoming an entrepreneur or expanding their existing business, community leader’s partner to provide the following:

  • Business plan development, start-up kit, and tips on how to gain capital and resources

  • Organize youth entrepreneurial activities such as business plan competitions, seminars, workshops, and community and networking events

  • Panel discussions, training, community and networking opportunities with youth entrepreneurs and business professionals, and more
